What is a powertrain warranty

A powertrain warranty typically describes all mechanical systems that require oil or hydraulic fluids to operate. Most manufacturer's list powertrain as 4wd systems, differentials, engines, transmissions/hydrostats, hydraulic pumps, axels etc. Essentially, the powertrain to any machine can quickly be the most costly fail that can occur.

What does a Basic Limited Warranty Mean?

The word "Basic" tends to through people for a loop. This warranty actually refers to "Basically Everything that is not a Wearable Item." In slang, a Basic Limited Warranty would be commonly called a "Bumper to Bumper" coverage. This coverage most often covers all of the powertrain coverage, plus electrical systems in most machines. 

What if I want to Self Service My Machine?

You are not alone.  For many reasons, individuals to companies have the means to service machines themselves. Agri-Sure coverage supports this by offering 100% parts reimbursement to the machine owner, or will purchase the parts required to fix the machine from the customers choice of parts provider. 

What if my dealer is not convenient to my location and I need repairs?

Upon purchase of your coverage whether it be from one of our Agri-Sure Agents, or from your dealer; Agri-Sure will contact you to assist in setting up the most convenient repair plan if you have an equipment failure.  We work with any and all repair facilities who agree to purchase OEM approved parts regardless of their manufacturer affiliation, to allowing for self service or we will help direct you to a closer dealer in your area that will work with you to ensure you are taken care of if the need arises regardless where you purchased. 

Is this insurance?

No.  This is not insurance.  Many of the processes and claims functions work very similar to the insurance industry, but warranties are simply not insurance.  

What is excluded on my coverage?

We strictly follow the rules of all manufacturers guidelines of coverage for each make and model. Areas of loss we do not cover, regardless of manufacturer rules (although most seem to have the same standards of coverage rules in these regards) are: 

Clutch and brake linings · Filters (air, fuel, oil) · Light bulbs · Window glass · Lubricants, coolants, and fluids (unless used during an authorized repair) · Belts · Cutting blades and tines · Bucket teeth · Injector nozzles · Spark plugs · Tires and tracks · Pickup or delivery of the equipment · Rental of replacement equipment during the repair period · Products which have been declared a total loss and subsequently salvaged · Overtime labor charges · Travel time or mileage (customer responsibility) · Service calls (customer responsibility) · Transportation of equipment to dealer from customer’s home or other location (customer responsibility) · Repairs performed by Non Authorized Dealers or Non Authorized Parts · Batteries · Wheels, Hubs or Tracks/Tires

Why have I never heard of this?

To be blunt... that is an excellent question!
